Aprilia has been researching on the sales pattern of Indian market and came to the conclusion that it would be good decision to launch a 300-500cc motorcycle in the country. The bosses at Aprilia said that India's love for the brand is higher than their thoughts and they will consider the launch of a middleweight bike soon in the country.
Apart form it's CBU list, Aprilia will be locally manufacturing a sport scooter named SR150 in India this year. It is just the beginning as the brand says they will make more steps very soon. We can consider the machine as a R3 fighter of even more like the internationally available CBR500R.
Aprilia said “Yes, we are evaluating (bringing in) the mid-sized Aprilia motorcycles. It is still in the study phase where we try to understand what could be the different segments where we should be. The perception of midsized motorcycles in India is the ones with engine displacement of 300cc-500cc. This is something which could be interesting for us in the future.”
