The design of the current Avenger 220 is like a cruiser on diet.
Cruisers world wide starting from a 125cc are always bulky stable & low sitting height position around 27-30 inches height.
I don't know why Indian manufacturers & their designers don't study the basics. If the New Avenger 400 don't have a upside down fork similar to BMW 310, 5 spoke Alloy, mechanical cruise control, low sitting height with saddle bag on both sides - it may not attract the mature-buyers in this segment.Even the current Avenger ,the Fork angle to the body is more of a chopper angle than of a cruiser angle. The tires in the Front should be 110 & back should be at least 130-160 on a 17 inch rim front & 16 inch rim at the back. These are basic dimensions of any low end cruisers in the international market. The designer team should minimize the GAP in the engine section - it should be compact - rather than the current model having too many empty space around the engine.
I think the Indian manufacturers don't take feedback seriously & their designers do not do enough research to understand the design needs of various categories like Chopper,cruiser,adventure-tourer ,grand tourer. sport cruiser etc.
If you ask me personally, the Hyosung Aquila 250cc - design wise looks to be a perfect cruiser with proper dimensions - but not the new GV 300 which is yet to be launched.
Hope in future we see some more mature design from our manufacturers.
