During the opening of Benelli's new showroom, their chairman, Sirish Kulkarni hinted at an upcoming launch of the Benelli Tornado Naked T-135. He said that the bike will cost anywhere between INR 1.3 to 1.5 lacs, and will be the most affordable Benelli offering in India.
The Benelli Tornano Naked T-135 was first showcased in 2015 at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. With this bike Benelli plans make entry into a totally new, upcoming niche bike segment.
The Benelli Tornado Naked T-135 is a mini bike, with an exposed trellis frame and minimalistic design. The bike which is a trimmed down version of the TNT 25, looks quite a lot like a streetfighter, will be powered by 135cc engine producing 12.6 BHP and 10.8 NM of torque.
The market for mini bikes which has been completely dormant in India so far, has started witnessing little activity with the launch of the Honda Navi.
The T-135, which will be placed way above the Navi, is expected to remain unrivaled for quite some time.
