Mahindra has started the exporting the KUV100. Keeping up to its plans of exporting the KUV100 to right-hand-drive markets such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa etc, Mahindra has, so far, exported arounf 400 units of the KUV.
Export data has revealed South Africa to be KUV100's biggest importer, over 220 units were shipped to South Africa in April. The kUV100 is also doing quite well in terms of domestic sales with over 14,000 units sold till March. The midsize hatch has gone on to be M&M's second-most sold car, with the number one position being held by Bolero.
The KUV100 is powered by a mFALCON D75 1198 cc diesel engine producing a maximum power of 77 horses and peak torque of 190 NM while the petrol engine is a mFALCON G80 1198 cc producing 82 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 115 NM @ 3,500-3,600 rpm. Both engines are mated to 5 speed manual gearboxes.
The car starts a price of INR 4.45 lacs, and is expected to become a big volume-driver for M&M.
