Autocar India recently presented the spyshots of a new Nano, this time expected to be the much talked Pelican version on the Indian sub-continent. The car comes with a different front fascia with different headlight, bonnet but with a GenX inspired bumper. The rear profile remains nearly the same while sides flaunt the new big wheels for the car.
Bigger tyres may result in a bigger engine, most probably being a 3-cylinder unit on the bigger Nano. This would improve the power ratios by a good margin and Nano would no longer be under estimated for being small and under-powered.
The interior of the new Nano feels more upmarket, thanks to the ConnectNext infotainment system, new dashboard and rightly placed instrument console. The center now gets Tiago inspired feel and so does the steering wheel of the car.
This would be the last chance for the Nano platform and these new changes can definitely bring more people into the Tata family.
