Triumph Motorcycles India had canceled their plan to invest Rs. 850 crores for setting up a manufacturing plant in Narasapura, Karnataka. This decision is a result of the state government's 'uncooperative approach'. Triumph Motorcycles were to set up a plant spread over an area of 30-acre, in Narasapura, in the Kolar district of Karnataka. The plant demanded investment of Rs. 850 crores which would also create thousands of job opportunities for the local people. The Naraspura plant was expected to produce 2.5 lakh bikes annually, as stated by Triumph earlier.

Although the company had payed an (undisclosed) advance amount for acquiring the land and also got the project clearance in 2012 but the state government failed to provide undisputed and clear land to the company in return. This made the company to curb its future plans for investment and demand a refund of all the investments till date.

The iconic British motorcycle brand is now planning to setup the manufacturing plant in Manesar, Haryana. The company will be working on to consolidate the production processes of its manufacturing plant in Manesar and even increase production of introducing new assembly lines.
