Due to the declining demand of the Suzuki Access's old variant, the company may soon discontinue the model for the Indian market. The main reason of the decline in sales can be the launch of the new Access.
Although the new Access 125 was launched as a successor to the older variant but the company hadn't stopped production for the previous model. But the new Access 125 costs just Rs. 3,500 more than the older one with better and improved features. The new Access 125 features retro design language, optional alloy wheels, front disc brake adding on to its style and premium feel.
Moreover, now the sales executives recommend the newer scooter to the customers which has again put the old Access 125 at a backfoot. Many Suzuki dealerships have run out of stock of the old Access 125 and are no longer acceptiong orders for the same. But a few showrooms can still be found with existing inventory of the scooter with selective colour options.
