CEO of Renault India , Mr Sumit Sawhney, stated in an interview with ET Auto that nearly 125,000 Renault Kwids will make it to Indian roads by the end of 2016. Till date, 75,000 units of the Kwid have been sold out since September 2015.
Currently, the bookings for Renault Kwid have already touched the 1.5 Lakh milestone. And the number is expected to rise because of the launch of 1.0L variant, launched earlier this week. It has been launched at a price of Rs. 3.83 Lakhs which makes it Rs. 22,000 more expensive than the regular Kwid.
The mini crossover styling with highly competitive price proved out to be key selling points for Kwid. The top-end models of the car come with a digital instrument cluster, optional driver’s airbag seat-belt pretensioner and 7-inch MEDIANAV touchscreen system.
