Bugatti unveiled its Galibier concept in 2009 at the Frankfurt motor show and reports say that the company is planning to get its development back on track. So, luckily if the Galibier four seat luxury saloon happens to get the positive signal then it will give a tough competition to the yet to come replacement for the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
The Galibier luxury saloon will be based on a redesigned version of Porsche’s MSB platform and will have the same front-engine layout. Since it is a part of the VW group, so they are the ones to give the green signal officially. In case the VW feels that a luxurious SUV is more appropriate, then Bugatti may have to change its plans to develop a Bentley Bentayga contender.
Earlier the production of Bugatti’s Galibier was to begin in 2011but the company boss Wolfgang Durheimer shift to Audi in 2013 resulted into hault in car's development. He planned to revive the Galibier in 2015. But this remains a fact that even if the Galibier gets a green signal, we will be able to see it only after the shelf life of the Bugatti Chiron which make take another decade.
