A set of spy shots have revealed the 2016 Toyota Etios facelift without any camouflage. This new updated version of Etios is likely to launch before the festival season sets in. Also there are some media reports which claim that the car would be launched on 13 September this year.
The Etios facelift is similar to the Etios Platinum which was launched last month in Brazil. It has a broader V-shaped grille in the middle with the T-logo, chrome detailing on the top and bottom edges, new bumpe, fog lamp housings with chrome elements., chrome strip on boot lid along with a redesigned bumper. However, the side profile continues to be same as that of the existing Etios.
The interiors have also not undergone any change and the dual-tone dashboard design remains same. Also, the new variant doesn't get a touch screen infotainment system, which is easy to get even in lower segment than this.
Overall, the new facelift gets only cosmetic changes with the same 1.4-litre diesel which produces 68 BHP and 170 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces 89 BHP and 132 Nm of torque.
