Maruti Suzuki's new compact SUV- Ignis expected to be launched in October this year in India. Ignis is the third and smallest SUV being offered by the automaker whcih will be offered through the Nexa Experience. The car was earlier showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and will now be out for launch soon.
Engine: The Ignis will be introduced with a 1.2-litre VVT petrol mill and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine-equipped version with a 5-speed manual and AMT transmission.
Exterior: Ignis is expected to be launched in 3 trim levels – MG, MX and MZ. The exterior features include neatly chromed front fascia, flared wheel arches, projector headlamps, pair of 10-spoke, 16-inch aluminium wheels, power-foldable and adjustable ORVMs and pull-style door handles.
Interior: The interiors of Ignis are expected to feature premium looks and utility with dual tone dashboard and integrated touchscreen display, automatic climate control and 258 litre boot space.
Safety: Ignis will come equipped with safety features like ABS, EBD, ESP, Hill descent control, LED headlights and fog lamps, dual front, side and curtain airbags.
Colors:It will be launched in Black, Flame Orange, Boost Blue, Neon Blue, Helios Gold,, Pearl Silver, Pure White and Red colour options.
Price: The price range for Ignis is expected to be between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).
Rivals:The Ignis will compete with the likes of Mahindra KUV100 and Hyundai Grand i10.
