Toyota has made ABS and EBD as standard part of the braking system in their vehicles which includes the pre-facelift vehicles as well. Earlier in 2014, Toyota had standardized the dual airbags in all its cars which was largely appreciated by the masses.
Toyota stands unique among the crowd for offering the safety features and not just bling features in order to lure the buyers. And now, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways will make it mandatory for all cars to have standard ABS and dual airbags for all passenger cars by 2018. So, this will will prove to be a boon for Toyota.
For now, it is only Toyota that offers standard safety features in all its models that includes ABS, EBD, 3 point ELR seatbelts, pre-tensioners and force limiters for front belts, ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Apart from Toyota, Volkswagen has introduced standard airbags for all its car models whereas Maruti Suzuki is offering it as a part of optional safety features only.
