Renault and Datsun, sharing the same parts for their mini cars, KWID and redi-GO, have issued a recall for cars made till 18 May 2016. Both the cars carry 799 cc engine and are suspected to have a faulty fuel hose. This could lead to disruption in the fuel supply in the coming time for these cars.
The inspection and correction are free for both the cars made before the given date, whereas the cure just involves adding a clip onto the hose to end the chances of leakage in the future. As a part of their checkup, they will even check the fuel supply for getting double sure about the problem.
KWID and redi-GO are the best selling products from their respective brands, creating a trust worthy image within a short period of time. Till September, redi-GO sold around 14,000 units while KWID had deliver around 1,65,000 cars till the same time.
