Bajaj Auto presented the official press release for its 400 cc motorcycle, confirming its name as 'Dominar 400' for the Indian market. Here, Dominar is a Spanish word that means 'to dominate' while 400 signifies the use of powerful 373.2 cc engine from 390 Duke. The motorcycle has been under production from 18th November while its official launch will take place on 15 December 2016.
Bajaj will start the deliveries from the first week of January 2017 while the expected price would stay around INR 1.6 lakh for the non-ABS variant. It would be the biggest and most powerful Bajaj bike ever built in the history of the brand. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and targets those buyers who are searching for an upgrade from their regular 200 cc bikes. It would serve as an ideal tourer with plenty of power available at twist of the throttle.
Dominar 400 uses front LED headlight, making it first in its segment to bring the technology to the Indian motorcycle market. It carries a comfortable seat arrangement while the split LCD displays would even make the motorcycle much attractive than others. The availability of ABS provides even more peace of mind to the riders on every type of terrain.
