A few spy images of an upcoming bike were leaked on the internet which was believed to be an updated Yamaha YZF Version 3.0. The news went viral and enthusiasts were already excited to get Yamaha YZF version 3.0 in the Indian market. Soon the speculations were put to rest as it was revealed that the image was for a modified version of Yamaha R15 V 2.0.
The modification was done by a workshop in Indonesia going by the name Eishop Modiefied. But the onlookers need not be dissapointed as a new image has surfaced online. And it looks it the Yamaha YZF R15 V 3.0 was spotted on the streets of Indonesia for testing. The claim is not said to be 100% true as the image only shows the rear view of the bike and not the front.
But we believe that if the image is authentic, there are a lot of things that it reveals about the new production bike in question. The bike spotted is for a darker mattle black shade. The coming shades cannot be guessed but since the bike is not covered in any camouflage, the exterior body work is clearly visible. The tail of Yamaha YZF V 2.0 looks a little longer than the one found in Yamaha YZF V 3.0
The bike also features a repositioned rear reflector, a license plate and different turn indicators. The tail light has been redone and the tyres come with split stroke rims. The Indian Yamaha R15 V 3.0 will most likely feature MRF tyres.
The difference between V 2.0 and V 3.0 is different swing arms. the tip of exhaust canister also seems to be coming with aluminium finish. it also has attractive full black exhaust setup. The upside down suspension seen in the bike reminds us of the one also seen in Yamaha M- Slaz.
Also the head of R&D at Yamaha, Yasuo Isihara explained Yamaha YZF R15 V 3.0 sating that it "will be a step up from the current generation in all aspects of performance and safety". The bike is said to be coming with a 155 cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine which will give out a maximum power of 20 bhp and a torque of 18 Nm.
