KTM to launch 390 and 200 Duke 2017 edition on February 23

KTM has come out with the much awaited upgrades to the 390 Duke and 200 Duke naked street bikes which are expected to be launched on February 23rd. Along with some great cosmetic changes the bikes are also updated with BS-IV compliant engines.

The aesthetic changes on both the models include some sharper styling with a new paint job. The 390 Duke is going to get full LED headlamps while the 200 Duke is going to settle only for LED DRL's. You can also expect a bassy side mounted exhaust on the 200 cc street bike from KTM.

The KTM 390 Duke also does not lag behind on the styling front. It gets a massy fuel tank woth shar edgy styling and a bigger side exhaust. The 390 Duke gets 320 mm front disc brakes with adjustable clutch. It also gets new brake levers borrowed from the new RC 390. The company also adds an all digital coloful instrument console on the package.

The kTM 200 Duke will be powered by the same 199.5 cc liquid cooled engine which generates a maximum power of 25 PS @ 10,000 rpm and at a maximum torque of 19 NM @ 8000 rpm. The KTM 390 Duke is also powered by a 373 cc liquid cooled engine which generates a maximum power of 43.5 PS @ 9000 rpm with an increased torque of 36 Nm @ 7000 rpm. The new bike also gets a ride by wire update throttle response feature.

The 390 cc variant of the naked street bike is expected to cost somewhere around INR 2.1 lakhs and the 200 Duke is expected to come out at a price of INR 1.49 lakhs. ( figures at ex-showroom estimates ). The KTM offering is a team up between the Austrian brand with Bajaj to cater to the Indian market.
