Suzuki recently discontinued the SlingShot Plus from Indian motorcycle lineup. The 125 cc, single cylinder engine was BS3 compliant and Suzuki has no plans to update the same for the country. They have updated the complete motorcycle range with BS4 engines and started the same through Suzuki Gixxer.
Suzuki recently updated the motorcycle with a front disc brake but its design started showing its age and had to be updated with few major changes. The low sales volume does not allow the manufacturer to do such investment on the SlingShot Plus moniker. It even weighs 129 kg, making it heavier than standard 125 cc motorcycles.
The 124 cc, single cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 8.5 BHP at 7500 rpm and 10 Nm at 3500 rpm. The high torque value at lower rpm's makes it good for comfortable cruising. It came with a 5-speed gearbox while its last few units can be bought from the dealerships that have the 2016 stock.
