Lohit River Gets India' Longest Bridge

The Dhol Sadiya bridge between Assam and eastern parts of Arunachal Pradesh. Factually India's longest bridge. Lohit river is one of the tributaries of Brahmaputra river. The bridge connect Dhola village to the town of Sadiya. The bridge has been constructed under the Arunachal Pradesh Package of roads and highways.

The bridge is considered to be a architechtural marvel which is 9.5 kms long and has three lanes. The project length of the bridge is 28.5 kms making it the longest bridge in the country. The bridge which connects Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will be run 24x7 and will cut down the travel time from 6 hours to one hour. It weighs 60 tones and has been built on a cost of 2,056 crores.
