It has just been a few days since Mitsubishi pleaded guilty to faking fuel efficiency data. And now we have another Japanese automaker admitting to improper fuel efficiency tests. Admist of a scandal this time is Suzuki Motors.
The company has admitted to use dishonest ways while testing for vehicle efficiency. However, in an official statement Suzuki Motors said that they used testing methods which are different from the regulations in 16 models sold in Japan. They have added that this discrepancy has no effect whatsoever on vehicles sold outside of Japan.
Suzuki Motors share values have been a consistent dip since this news first broke out. Japanese authorities had told all automakers to make sure their fuel testing methods were up to date following the Mitsubishi scandal. Suzuki has been the first ones to come out.
