The high amount of sales for Vitara Brezza and Baleno have raised the falling hopes of Maruti Suzuki due to the slow sales of its WagonR, Swift and the Alto. Considering the sales record for the month of May,2016, both the Vitara Brezza and the Baleno lead the sales as compared to all other car sales from the carmaker.
Recently launched in March, Maruti's Vitara Brezza records sales of 7,200 units in May 2016. On the other hand, the premium hatchback Baleno launched in October 2015 had crossed benchmark of 1 lakh bookings in March.
The sales data from SIAM gives more precise statistics- According to it, the Vitara Brezza had a recorded sale of 7,832 units in April and Baleno of 9,562 units. Also, the company's UV segment have amazingly high growth as compared to May 2015. The sale figures jumped from 5,567 in May 2015 to 13,596 units in May this year. This is inclusive of sales figure of the Gypsy, Ertiga and S-cross as well.
Maruti’s Baleno has recorded a sale of 46,555 units during May as compared to 41,926 units sold in May 2015. The figures are really impressive as compared to sale records of Alto and WagonR and even Swift. It seems Maruti has finally understood the demand and preference of the customer.
