Bringing back the charm of 1980s, the Blacktrack BT-01 is nothing less than a brand new factory built bike of the 21st century. Made on the chassis and oddly placed engine of CX500, the machine is uniquely hand-built by designer Sacha Lakic.
The motorcycle will be made on selected donor CX500's while the introduction of all new parts to the bike will make it as reliable as a new one in the industry. The completed motorcycle will carry the exactly same fuel tank and would weigh bit less than the original CX500.
Being a Cafe Racer, the CX500 supports single seat with anti-slip finish, custom made exhaust system and clip on handlebars. BT-01R would have just 5 units as it will feature brembo brakes, ohlins suspension, mikuni carburetor and carbon fiber body. BT-01S, on the other hand would have 20 units.
