Amazon has launched a thinner and lighter version of entry-level Kindle eReader. It is as light as 161 grams and is just 9.1mm thick. This time Kindle has been launched with a white color option and has a new more rounded design and a flat back.
In some countries, it has got Bluetooth audio support to help blind readers listen to books by connecting the device with wireless headsets and speakers. With Kindle, you can email yourself important notes and highlights in PDF and spreadsheet form, which will soon be introduced in other models as well.
The screen is the same 6-inch ( 600 x 800 pixels) touch screen display at 167 PPI pixel density. It has got 4GB internal storage, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support, along with battery life of 4 weeks (wireless off).
The new e-reader Kindle will now be available at Rs. 5,999 which is same as that the previous generation. The shipping will begin from July 7th but you can now pre-order it on Amazon.in.
