The Chevrolet Trailblazer Facelift made a global premier at the prestigious stage of the Bangkok Motorshow. Chevrolet has redesigned the Trailblazer lending it a classier and way more upmarket feel than its predecessor.
On the outside, the car has been thoroughly upgraded. The new design language of the Trailblazer bears quite a resemblance to the Colorado pick-up truck. The redesigned SUV has a more rounder appearance, slim and sharp LED headlamps and a wider front grille with the classic Chevrolet logo in the middle. The car looks quite a lot muscular now, with chunks of chrome fitted here and there. Fresh air intakes and fog lamps can be seen on the bumper. The side profile of the car hasn't changed much but the rear gets a fresh pair of LED tail lights and an updated tailgate.
Stepping inside, we're greeted with a dual tone finish, a new dashboard and a larger Mylink infotainment system supporting AppleCar Play. Beautiful wood inserts and posh leather upholstery with aluminum touches contributes to the car's premium feel.
The engine line-up hasn't been confirmed yet, but rumors are that the powerplants of the chevvy are likely to remain unchanged. Currently, it derives power from a Duramax 2.5-litre diesel engine producing 163hp of max power and a 380NM of peak torque, and 2.8-litre Duramax diesel rig capable of producing a power of 200 horses and a max torque of 500 NM.
Launch date of the Trailblazer hasn't been confirmed yet, but is expected to go on sale in Thailand in the last quarter of this year. Unfortunately, the car isn't expected to come in out until later 2017. When launched, it will lock horns with the Ford Endeavor and Toyota Fortuner.
