According to a statement in an official press release by an authorized dealer of BMW Motorrad, the G 310 R will have prices beginning from £4,290 (INR 3.89 lakh) in the UK. This unexpected release of price of the motorcycle from the Bavarian manufacturer has raised all ears.
The aforementioned price is inclusive of export duties which will not be applicable for Indian markets because the model will be assembled at TVS Motor’s manufacturing facilities in Hosur near Bengaluru. The model will be launched both in India and in international countries in October, 2016.
The KTM Duke 390 is available in the U.K. at £4,549 (INR 4.12 lakh). If the prices of Duke 390’s UK price is compared with G 310 R, then we can expect the German roadster to be launched in India somewhere between INR 1.7- 1.8 lakh. This price makes it more affordable than the KTM Duke 390 priced at INR 1.96 lakh.
The G 310 R developed in conjugation with TVS has a 313cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine which can produce a power output of 34 hp with a peak torque of 28 Nm. The engine is mated to the rear wheel via a six speed gearbox. The bike also features USD front forks, ABS along with a multi-function instrument cluster.
