Hero very own Splendor brand is ready to get an engine change in the coming months. Ending up its partnership with Honda, Hero is about the end the engine and part sharing contract in the coming year. Hero's first motorcycle to be fitted with their own developed engine, the Splendor 110 iSmart has been spotted at a dealership before its official launch by GaadiWaadi.
The motorcycle is powered by a 1-cylinder, 110 cc engine producing 8.9 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 9 Nm @ 5500 rpm. It comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox and would be offered in single as well as dual tone paint options. The patented i3S technology would make it one of the most fuel efficient motorcycles of India.
The unit spotted in these images carry a dual tone Red and Black body paint with a decent looking exhaust and Black alloy wheels. It is expected to start with a price tag of INR 52,000.
