Due to the increasing demand of Hyundai's Creta, the company is now planning to increase its production rate by 25 per cent. Moreover, the festive season is approaching and thus the Korean automaker expects a surge in demand which would lead to increase in waiting period. The company disclosed their plans to increase production at the time of launch of its latest D-segment sedan - the Elantra.
Despite the fact that the automaker increased the production from 12,500 in February and then 13,000 units in July, some of the variants of the Creta have a waiting period of over two months.
Looking at the car sales in July 2016, Creta ranked 11th with sale of 7,981 units. Also, Creta's is the company's third highest selling car after the Grand i10 and the Elite i20.
Moreover, Creta also is exported to around 45 countries which includes Africa and Latin America. So, Hyundai's plans to increase production will help to reduce the gap between supply and demand thereby increasing its export rate as well.
