Hyundai has been preparing for the launch of an Automatic variant for its best selling i20 Elite in India. The things got better when teambhp member Nipcarlover posted the images of Hyundai i20 Automatic's brochure. The car will soon launch in the coming days with a 1.4 L petrol engine.
The engine used here is good for 100 PS @ 6,000 rpm and 13.5 kgm at 4,000 rpm. It uses a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The other engines currently in the Hyundai i20 are 1.2 L dual VTVT petrol and 1.4 L CRDi diesel. These are mated to manual transmission on all variants.
The leaked images confirm that the variant in which the AT will be offered is just Magna and would not carry alloy wheels, ABS with EBD, keyless entry and many other features. The car will compete against Maruti Baleno CVT, Honda Jazz CVT and the VW Polo GT TSI.
