2016 fifth generation Audi A4 is finally set to make it to Indian markets after an year of launch in Europe in Fall 2015. The 5th gen Audi A4 measures 4,726 mm, 1,842 mm and 1,427 mm in length, width and height respectively which makes it 25 mm longer and 16 mm wider than previous gen A4. Also, it has got a 12 mm more wheelbase 2,820 mm than the previous generation A4.
The newly launched Audi A4 is based on the second generation MLB (MLB Evo) platform and offered with a variety of TFSI petrol and TDI diesel engines. The engine displacements range from 1.4- to 3.0-litre, with 6-speed manual, 7-speed S tronic automatic and 8-speed tiptronic automatic abroad.
The amazing part is that despite the increase in dimensions of new gen A4, its weight is lesser than previous gen by 120 kg. The interior length has been increased by 17 mm and rear legroom by 23 mm while the shoulder width and head clearance for driver and front-seat passenger have been increased by 11 mm and 24 mm respectively.

The 2016 Audi A4 will be launched in India in 30 TFSI, powered by the base 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine that can develop 110 kW (150 PS/147.45 hp) and 250 Nm of torque.
