MV Augusta F3 800 RC has been introduced in India at Rs 19.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune) with only 9 units allocated to India out of the 250 units being manufactured globally. Another fascinating thing is that MV Augusta India revealed during the launch that five units of the F3 800 RC have already been sold. Each MV Augusta F3 800 RC comes autographed by Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti, along with ID plaque with a limited edition serial number.
The bike is built upon a steel tubular trellis frame and a single-sided aluminium swing arm and features Marzocchi USD front forks with adjustable rebound-compression and preload. The braking duties are done by twin 320mm disc brakes with a Brembo four-piston brake caliper at the front and 220mm disc brake with a two-piston Brembo brake caliper at the rear. The bike features a Bosch 9 Plus ABS system as part of its safety feature which offers eight levels of traction control and race mode.
Powering the MV Augusta F3 800 RC is a 798cc 3-cylinder engine which produces 150PS of power at 13,000rpm and 88Nm of torque at 10,600rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. MV Augusta claims a top speed of 269 kmph for the F3 800 RC.
