Volkwagen Tiguan is an upcoming SUV coming from the german car maker which is yet to be launched in India. But the good news is that it was seen testing without a Camouflage in Pune.
The premium level SUV was first unveiled at Auto Expo 2016 and it is expected to come to India officially in 2017 for sale. Tiguan has been built on the company's MQB platform. The second generation Tiguan is around 50 kgs lighter than the first generation Volkswagen.
Volkswagen Tiguan comes with attractive offerings like dual LED headlights. The car also come with a 5 inch media touch screen ( while the international model also comes with 8 inch display option with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto )
The petrol variant of the car comes with a powerful 2000 cc 4 cylinder engine which gives out a maximum power of 177 bhp and a torque of 320 Nm. The 2.0 litre diesel engine gives out a maximum power of 148 bhp and a torque of 340 Nm. The SUV runs on a 6 speed manual and 7 speed DSG transmission.
The base model of the car will come with a front wheel drive and the top model will roll with an all wheel drive. The model is expected to be assembled at Aurangabad to roll out the product at a budget.
