Hyundai Creta has been launched in an all new upgraded variant-S+ diesel automatic variant at Rs. 13.56 lacs ex-showroom, Delhi. This newly introduced S+ variant has got the same engine and gearbox technicalities as in SX+ variant but is priced Rs. 1.06 lacs lower than SX+ variant.
With the introduction of S+ variant, Creta will be more cheaper and affordable as compared to the SX+ variant. But with the lesser price of the S+ variant, you will miss some styling features like chrome outside door handles, chrome radiator grille, and chrome rear tailgate garnish on the outside. The new variant doesn't have the rear wiper and washer as well. Coming to the interiors, S+ has to comprise with the engine start-stop button, automatic climate control system, auto-up & down functionality for the driver’s side power window and 60:40 split rear seats.
The Creta diesel automatic will get its power from the 1.6-litre CRDi unit, which generates 126 Bhp of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 260 Nm of maximum torque at 1,900 to 2,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed conventional torque converter automatic gearbox. The 1.6-litre diesel engine in the Hyundai Creta uses a variable geometry turbo which improves its power delivery across the rev-range along with overall drive-ability. The Hyundai Creta comes in six variants- starting from the no-frills base trim to S, S+, SX, SX+ and the top-of-the-line SX (O) variant with gills.
